Think you know Common Core Standards? Maybe you do, maybe not. It is my purpose to give you concise bullet points how Common Core Standards and ALL its arms & legs, parts & pieces impact our daily lives.

Got a question about Common Core? Based on my extensive research skills, I can probably answer it. IF not, I have no problem directing you to other credible resources to help your search for truth. Be sure to use the comment section to leave your query.

Make no mistake, I do NOT support the Standards or any of the connecting factors at all. In fact, I am an outspoken opponent of the Standards based on the undeniable truth that the Standards violate our U. S. Constitution via the Tenth Amendment and at least, 3 Federal Laws. Which ones? Great question! Here they are (consider them my first bullet points)

  • 1) Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”  Bottom line: Education is NOT included in the Bill of Rights (Amendments 1-10)
  • 2) General Education Provisions Act (20 USC § 1232a)
Which tells us: “No provision of any applicable program shall be construed to authorize any department, agency, officer, or employee of the United States to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, or over the selection of library resources, textbooks, or other printed or published instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, or to require the assignment or transportation of students or teachers in order to overcome racial imbalance.”
Bottom line: No part of the federal government can control what is taught.
  • 3) Department of Education Organization Act (20 USC § 3403(b))“No provision of a program administered by the Secretary or by any other officer of the Department shall be construed to authorize the Secretary or any such officer to exercise any direction, supervision, or control over the curriculum, program of instruction, administration, or personnel of any educational institution, school, or school system, over any accrediting agency or association, or over the selection or content of library resources, textbooks, or other instructional materials by any educational institution or school system, except to the extent authorized by law. Bottom line: Any part of Common Core is illegal!
  • 4)  Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 as amended by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (20 USC 7907(a)) “Nothing in this Act shall be construed to authorize an officer or employee of the Federal Government to mandate, direct, or control a State, local educational agency, or school’s curriculum, program of instruction, or allocation of State and local resources, or mandate a State or any subdivision thereof to spend any funds or incur any costs not paid for under this Act.Bottom line: no funding should mandate, dictate, suggest what a State uses in education.

Okay, you have the ‘platform’ for which everything connected to CCS (Common Core Standards) is. It is from this perspective I have based all my research. It is from the love of preserving the integrity of what is worthy, that I filter all through.

About me: I am unique in the fight against Common Core Standards, I am a homeschool mom who fights not just for my students, but for all students. Based on my fight (since 2009 against any form of U.S. National Standards), I take every opportunity to expose the fraud Common Core Standards (and any connecting entity) are!
