Resilient State Of America?

In Resilient State of America Lynne Taylor joins Tim Brown to examine what the program describes as a growing government driven resilience agenda in the United States. The discussion looks at programs and research involving the National Academies federal agencies universities climate resilience initiatives and community planning. The article links directly to National Academies materials including a resilience working group initiative and resilience playbook.

The episode also examines how resilience is measured at the community level including data tracking and research conducted through university resilience programs. It points readers toward projects at the University of South Carolina University of Florida and Carnegie Mellon University as well as the federal US Climate Resilience Toolkit. The hosts question what increased coordination measurement and planning could mean for individual communities and government influence over American society.
